I've got a lot of time in Spain and Portugal soon - would people recommend visiting Morocco while there? What's it like, I've heard you can get a bit of hassle... Ok for two girls travelling together?

I would say it is...you do get a bit of attention, mainly from people just trying to sell you things though! The port towns which have lots of day visitors from Spain (eg Tangiers, Tetouan near Ceuta etc) are best avoided as the sellers are more aggressive here. Lots of poeple trying to be your guide.
We had a great time in Marrakech though, it was a bit more relaxed, the souks are fascinating, the main square is so full of life. Essaouira on the coast was also pretty good for spending a few days. You have to be aware of being stung for some tourist dollars but with two of you looking out for each other you'd be fine! Cover up a bit though, it is an Islamic country and its only decent to pay a little respect to local dress code - when in Rome as they say! It also means you don't get so many looks!
Enjoy your trip
