| The Man in Seat 61 (www.seat61.com) is a really useful website that tells you how to get anywhere in the world without flying. |

I love this site, have used so much info for recent trips to Middle East, Turkey, Thailand and Vietnam. Checking it out again for my next trip too. _________________ Cafank

| We've used www.seat61.com loads too, it's fabulous. We planned an entire trip around Europe by train and used this site as our starting point, as well as referring to it throughout the booking process. We found that travelling by train was so much more rewarding, and some of the sleeper trains were great! If you book as far as possible in advance (usually 3 or 2 months) train tickets are usually considerably cheaper - although in some countries it's cheaper to book in situ if you are flexible with time. For booking and up to date timetables, Deutche Bahn's website seemed to us to be the most helpful - www.bahn.de |
